Annoyed by Vitumonde?
Vitumonde, also referred to as trojan Vitumonde or Vitumonde is a malicious backdoor trojan that disables system functions in Windows and installs further infections onto the infected machine. After Vitumonde has sneaked inside the system it will install corrupt editpad.exe, svci.exe, lspak.dll, winhost.exe, virtumonde.exe files and download additional viruses.Usually, Vitumonde is spread via pornographic web sites, corrupt shareware/freeware and file sharing downloads or via infected ActiveX and media codec updates. Vitumonde is a mischievous backdoor trojan that can steal confidential info and damage local and network computers.

- Search engine results and browser homepage hijacked by abnormal website
- Altered shortcuts, system tray icons, wallpaper and desktop settings
- Unusual Vitumonde processes running in Windows task list, can't avoid weird bleeping noise
- Vitumonde reinstalls itself after been deleted manually, extremely hard to eliminate
- Corrupt or missing system files, registry keys and dlls files produce "Blue Screen Of Death"
- Slower Windows starup, shut down performance, reduced browser performance
- Unwanted frustrating porn and casino mass popups popping up even with blocker program
Possible Vitumonde trojan behavior:
- Tracks registry activity and system settings, records surfing habits to generate matching popup ads
- Vitumonde infects system in stealth mode to avoid antivirus and firewall programs and sends confidential financial records to distant hackers
- Vitumonde spreads via spam e-mail, chat programs, porn web sites and infects Pc's via Windows security holes
