What is 12/Virtumonde?
12/Virtumonde also referred to is an aggressive backdoor trojan, a new variation of the precarious Virtumonde family. Once inside the system, 12/Virtumonde trojan will install corrupt executable files and download additional malware threats onto the system. 12/Virtumonde spreads generally through porn and gambling related adult websites, SPAM e-mail attachments and suspicious file-sharing downloads. The 12/Virtumonde is a mischievous generic trojan that can steal sensitive information and damage local and network computers.

- "Blue Screen Of Death" error screen, missing registry keys, dll's and system files
- Pop up blocker unable to prevent irritating porn and gambling related mass pop-ups
