ExtraAntivir or Extra Antivir is a fake antivirus program (Extra Antivir 2.0 and Extra Antivir 2.8) part of the malicious Rapid Antivirus rogue family that use scare tactics to scam victims money. After installation ExtraAntivir rogue will use exploit to inactivate security and drop malicious Help.url, Purchase.url, HowToBuy.txt, ExtraAntiVir.exe files into Windows system. Typically, ExtraAntivir spreads via corrupt ActiveX, Flash and media codec downloads or when visiting malicious porn web sites. ExtraAntivir is a destructive rogue security software that can harvest sensitive private data and damage your system files!
