XPProtectionCenter, also referred to as XP Protection Center is a new scamware or fake security program that was created to trick victim to buy the non existent "licensed" program version. After installing the rogue program onto the system, rogue XPProtectionCenter will activate mokofyf.exe, htmlayout.dll, alarefuqe.exe, XPProtectionCenter.exe, pyxixu.exe, lavev.exe, AVEngn.dll payloads that starts automatically at Windows start up. XPProtectionCenter spreads via dubious shareware and p2p programs, through corrupt multimedia and unwanted emails or through adult content websites. The XPProtectionCenter is a harmful rogue that may download viruses, trojans, worms, steal private sensitive info and damage windows system!
