is a rogue security tool installed by harmful trojan which executes a fake system scan, alert notifications and reports non-existent spyware entries (false positives) to trick unaware users into believing they are infected. After infecting the system, rogue OSProtection will activate Protection.lnk, osprotection.exe payloads that starts automatically at Windows boot up.
Typically, OSProtection spreads through corrupt ActiveX, Flash and media codec downloads or when visiting mischievous pornographic web sites. OSProtection fraud tool may harvest sensitive data initiate harm to system files.
