WinNT/Alureon is a trojan that may download additional malware threats and install irritating pop-up advertisements. Usually WinNT/Alureon spreads through infected P2P file sharing games, music and movie downloads or through unwanted mass e-mails.
When launched, WinNT/Alureon will connect to corrupt domains, download harmful exe and dll files and display frustrating pop up ads.
